We visited Mesa Verde National Park and Arches National Park while staying at the Retro Inn. Staff gave us good suggestions. Visit the CO Welcome Center if you can. "Pretty clean and seemed updated in terms of room decor. The guy checking us in did tell us to make sure we parked in the lighted area of the parking lot which was slightly concerning but we did and had no problems! There was little "Safety sheet" in the room giving advice on how to stay safe in and around the hotel like use all your door locks and don't open the door for anyone without verifying by calling the front desk first, check your surrounding before exiting your vehicle, etc. In the...
